Matt has over 17 years of public safety experience as a firefighter, emergency medical technician and dispatcher. Prior to joining MTFD, he spent six years as a communications technician with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Currently, he serves as the interagency liaison for the MECC Center, representing us at meetings of professional organizations such as the National Emergency Number Association and the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials and other functions.

Joe Schick started in public service in 1994, going to work as a firefighter / EMT for Jefferson Township Fire. After a break he returned to Jefferson in 2005. He also started dispatching at the MECC part time. In 2007 Joe took a full time dispatching position with Delaware County Central Dispatch. In 2008 he took on full time dispatching responsibilities at the MECC. Joe is married with one son. He likes to watch football and all sports, and spend family time in his off hours.

David has been around the Fire Services since 1988, when he began as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT. While working full-time with computers at CompuServe, he became a part-time call-taker/dispatcher at the Westerville Fire Department. He continued in the computer field until getting hired by Newark Fire Department in 1998. In early 2000, he moved from the Fire Service to the Newark Police Department to be a communications operator. While working full time at the police department, he also ran his own business providing Internet access to households in Licking County. In 2002 he sold his internet business and returned to the Licking County 911 Center to continue his career as a Dispatcher. In 2004 he joined MECC Center as a full time dispatcher working night shift and taking care of all CAD administration needs

Tami Wass began her dispatching career with the Whitehall Fire Department in 1995. She has experience as a paramedic and firefighter at McDonald-Douglas. She holds an amateur radio license. She and her husband have two grown children. Tami is a huge wrestling fan, and an overall sports fan.

Susan has worked as a dispatcher since 2001, beginning at Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. She has a BA in English and previously worked for the US Government in Washington D.C. for ten years as an editor and Operations Officer. She holds the office of Secretary for Mifflin Twp Professional Firefighters Local 2818.
